So I think I heard masha knots or maybe someone else say that you shouldn’t use strings of different thickness and to test each string out. But can I, instead of tying a knot onto another string, can I just tie a regular knot with each string and will it still work in testing out the string? Hope that made sense 😂 @Elise64 |

usually, when I want to start an alpha and don't have strings of the same brand, I set up a 4-base strand alpha to test the 2 strings thicknesses. This helps me get a good gauge on if 2 different brands of string have the same or a similar thickness. Hope this helps!
