how long to cut base strings for keychains?

I'm planning on making one of @halokiwi among us patterns and #56184 is 26 rows long so how long would I need to cut my base strings? I'm going to cut and then fold the strings in half so I can attach them to the keychain... do you think 1 foot (so folded in half as 6 inches) would be long enough? or too long?

its better to have too much and easier to knot with longer base strings in my opinion

@Sun_StringI would also have them long, cuz one time i had a bracelet, with super small small base strings, and it was super hard to do 😭. so I would do long strings if I were you. |
