I'm trying to do a normal pattern but my first row doesn't look right, I was wonder if I just started like an how someone would do an alpha bracelet I wouldn't have this type of problem.

The first rows are always a bit messy but you can tape the string in the exact order with really strong tape so the beginning looks neat

It will even out eventually, it usually takes me several rows to get it right

how are you knotting? Row by row or segment? Im sure this is a no brainer but Alpha bracelets and Normal patterns are COMPLETELY different.. Polar opposites, sorta. Anyways, if you are tying row by row I suggest learning the segment not technique. This helps with keeping the holes out of your bracelet and generally you make the bracelet quicker. If you're segment knotting and are just having issues, give it some time... think of the alpha bracelet! You cant really tell what the design is until it is 1/3 done! Keep doing what you're doing and at the end you will find out the strengths and weaknesses. Best of luck, Love! ❤️

Hi on Instagram if you have Insta their is a Bracelet Maker (her bracelet book name is @https_ari). She made a really easy and cute way to start an alpha and I loved when I used that idea and made it easier to start the alpha. On her Insta go to tutorials under her account and you will find it. 😍 😍
