so i have a couple questions about segment knotting: 1. how do you segment knot? 2. what are the pros and cons of segment knotting? 3. can you use this for alphas? this is a lot but it would be great for these to be answered! thanks!! |

1. Masha Knots has a video explaining segment knotting.2. Its easier and faster to segment knot. (masha knots will explain) 3. Well in alphas its just knotting horizontally so row by row! there isn't segment knotting in alphas! hope this helps |

1. Segment knotting is essentially knotting your knots in diagonal groups instead of going row by row. Think of the chevron bracelet: the way you knot the chevron is how you segment knot that particular pattern

2. It’s definitely faster and takes less time. It might not be easier when you first start though. It’s also easier to memorize patterns if you memorize how to segment knot them. I can’t really think of any cons to segment knotting, except that it’s harder to do on 1212 patterns

3. Nope! Segment knotting is just a technique for normals.
