Maybe try and do FB and bf knots at the sides but the edges of alphas are never completely straight

How do you make your knots?
When making them try to hold your base string straight down, and when you pull your knot using the leading string; pull that straight up. Kind of like a clock at the 12 and 6 positions.

okay, i'll try that out, usually when I make knots I pull the string to the side. Thanks!! ❤️

@alicesitu the way I always describe it to my friends when I’m teaching them is to hold the string that you’re knotting onto (the base string) taught and hold the string that you’re knitting with loosely until you get to the top, so slowly increasing your tightness on the string that you’re using as you get to the top. I hope that makes sense, good luck!

The knots will always be a little slanted, but you can try changing your knotting tension to see if that helps

My knots in alphas used to slant to a different side each row but when I learned the flat alpha technique it helped the knots stay straighter. Here's a video tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_YVFAX9sacw&t=1222s

Hope this helps! 😄
