We all know the etiquette of rating patterns: either give them 5 stars or don’t rate at all. There are unfortunately a few people who give low ratings simply because they don’t like the message. I’ve seen this happen mostly on queer and religious patterns. It begs the question of why we are even able to rate patterns? The rating feature has been abused on so many patterns and giving a 5 star rating doesn’t even change anything about the pattern or how likely someone is to make it so why is it still a feature? |

I think it's just because it used to be a feature from the beginning and then it wasn't removed. I think it would be worth discussing if this feature should be kept or removed.
