Idea 1:
When you are on a patterns main page, under the pattern code it has the photo, video, love, & rating count. I think it would be cool to have an open square representing all of the people that have added the bracelet into their “to-do” section

Benefit of Idea 1: Users and creators can see the amount of users who are looking to create the bracelet

Idea 2:
To go along with that thought process, to the right there are the three orange buttons: Add a variation, Add to-do, and Love it! Having another button that says “Completed!”
(There will also along be a box with a checkmark to the left hand side to show that a user has completed this pattern.)

Benefit of Idea 2:
Users and creators can see the amount of people who have completed the patterns

Idea 3:
By adding a “Completed” option to the patterns page this will add another section to the users profile showcasing all the patterns they have completed.

Benefit of Idea 3:
Now a users can switch items from their “To-dos” and put them into their “Completed” Now they won’t have to remove the pattern from their profile entirely and still have a way to revisit these patterns (especially if they have given away the physical bracelet!) it also helps to decrease the clutter of your to-do list so you can accurately see all the patterns you have yet to complete!

Why I came to these conclusions:
I’m very type A when it comes to bracelet organization. I’ve found myself using my To-do list strictly for my To-do’s. After completing a pattern I remove the to-do and have sectioned my “loves” for any bracelets I have completed. This has left me with the dilemma of seeing a bracelet I really love but don’t see myself creating. Now I feel conflicted because I want to be able to admire this patten but it doesn’t have a specific section it can stay on my profile without it feeling cluttered or following my organizational method. I think by implementing these 3 ideas users can have a sense of accomplishment by moving a pattern from their to-do’s into their completed section. Creators can feel a deeper sense of accomplishment aside from the love count by seeing how many users plan to create their pattern, and users can engage more with BraceletBook and one another by having a section of their profile dedicated to all the patterns they have completed!

I think having who added a pattern as a to-do visible might create wrong hopes and also put pressure on the person that added the pattern to their to-dos. In my experience, most to-dos will never be knotted. Most people add more patterns to their to-dos than they will actually knot.

About the completed patterns, I think the easiest way is posting photos. This way the pattern will still be on your profile, even if you remove it from your to-dos and you can show the creator of the pattern your appreciation.
