Why can't we use the color black in patterns?

I was wondering why we can't use the color black when making patterns. I have some great patterns I want to post, but have been denied because of this. Plus, I've seen other patterns with black in them.

if there's a lot of black together you can't see the lines of the grid

i don't know but thats the reason i get when my pattern is declined with black in it

I figured out the code thing to use black. When picking colors, type in 2e2e2e in the bar. That should let you use black.

2e2e2e is actually not black, but the darkest color you can use ... 😉

I use always 1f1f1f, i have a pattern with that color!
