I think it would be a good idea to be able to flip or rotate patterns, since sometimes it can be easier to knot something one way over another way. And sometimes if you want to turn an alpha into a keychain or wallhanging, you would turn the design horizontal. I don't use the grid and the arrows just confuse me when I rotate the image, so I think this could be helpful to a lot of people!
