Color code to DMC thread number Generator!!!

Wouldn't it be awesome if there was a generator that could match the colors of a pattern to the closest DMC color number? This obviously isn't a necessity, but I wanted to share the idea anyway! It would certainly save some time in trying to match up colors 😂

People use all kinds of different brands for string so I don’t know how helpful this will be to the majority of people

@Faye102 Yeah I know that this feature will probably never happen because it won't be functional for everyone, but I just wanted to share my idea.

You can search “hex code to DMC numbers” and it’s a pretty helpful chart!

I'm horrible at matching colors, so I use this all the time. just screen shot the pattern and use an eyedropper to get the hex code, then put in the RGB numbers and it will spit out a couple options! hope this helps!http://www.damaniel.info/dmc/dmctorgb.html |

Jumping off of the suggestion made by @RileighR, https://threadcolors.com/ is a good way to find a hex code based off of a DMC thread color, which is kind of the inverse of what the original post was asking but I figured it might be useful here too.@rubisaa11 |

This thread has been constructive! I've been able to cut and paste the Hex code after matching my DMC colors and pasting in the code... makes it much easier to create a pattern or add a variation. 👍
