So I've seen in comments on patterns that when people sometimes mention other users there's a strikethrough through the username. How does it activate and what does it mean?

It's usually if they spell the other users name wrong. If there is an @ in front of something but is isn't a registered username then it will have a strike though it.

If there isn't a strike thru the user name, it should be orange and you can click on the user name which will take you to their profile!! If your user name is mentioned you will get a notification in the notifications tab (the equal sign button) and on the website you can see the comment in which you were mentioned!! Hope this helps!! ๐

It's usually when you type in the username instead you should click on the user's username and it should automatically go in the text box. That is why there are sometimes crosses on the names (I'm not sure if this is the exact reason but that's what I think). ๐
