Hi! I just started a normal pattern, and I only put about an inch in the start. Do I just tie in new string, like I was changing colors, or is there no fix to this? Thanks so much!

Idk what your really asking so I’m going to answer the following by assuming that your string either snapped or you just want to replace it. Yes you basically just tie a new strand to the previous thread.

Hi! I would really like to help you but can you give me more info by what you mean when you say start. Are you talking about a loop or triangle ends? Or do you mean your string snapped?

Thank you so much for this insight! Also, this is the first pattern I haven’t watched a video for, so what I mean is I just taped down my strings to my table instead of doing any start.

If you left enough string you can go back and do a braid or twisted ties.
If you haven't enough for that, you could (if you have any) attach crimp ends to both ends with a clasp chain and jump ring attached.

You just insert the broken thread like how you insert string in a alpha pattern. 🙂

These are great ideas I never would’ve thought of!
