It really depends on how long you plan on making it. Which pattern are you looking to make and how many inches will it need to be?

So the bracelet dimensions don't show how long you should cut string.Here is how long I cut my strings- Alpha- 1 meter for the base string (totally not necessary but I like to be VERY safe 😂) For the strings that tie the knot, I just keep it on my bobbin and just unwind it as I go Normal- 1 meter for a bracelet that doesn't have a loop 2 meters for a bracelet that has a loop 2 meters 6 inches for the string that makes the loop. |

If you’ve made an alpha before, you can use it to figure out how long you need to make your base strings for another alpha. Once you’ve made an alpha before you’ll have a better understanding of how long the design portion of the bracelet generally is. Hope this helps (:
