I would recommend the “rainbow bracelet” on Mashaknots YouTube channel, that was my first and it was quite easy. As for patterns I would just recommend a bracelet that has your name, also a pattern with 2 colors and 20 strings or less usually a good start!

the first few alpha patterns I made where are paw print and one with my name. I recommend starting with patterns that only require 2 colors and around 15 strings

i loooove #38672 and it is very easy to get the hang of alphas, its not the best for learning to change colors but you could change colors in the background as some people did.
