hi!! i hope everyone is doing well!
so i just got a buttload of thread and i’ve started to wind it into bobbins (i don’t have a bobbin winder)
i notice the string tends to get tangled if i don’t wind correctly 🙁
do you guys have any tips on how to keep your thread untangled as you wrap?? thank so much!!!

I just throw my string on the ground and start wrapping it. 😂

@angeldior I use needles or pins to untie knots in thread

Take off then paper wrapped around the skeins before winding and it should not tangle but if it does either use a safety pin to untangle it or cut off the tangled part and if you can untangle more tie it onto the already winded thread and continue winding

Take off the paper, then carefully separate the two sides of the skein so that it’s now in a circle shape. If you have the circle on your wrist while you wind, the thread won’t tangle (for the most part)

To add, make sure you are pulling the "correct" end as well! If you (slowly) pull out the end and it immediately starts tangling, that is not the "correct" one to pull from. (You still may have tangling with the "correct" end, but it won't be as messy and annoying!)
