I found pattern that was 2 colors and i wanted to make it 3 - when i added the extra color in a 6x16 pattern - i needed to change 4 knots so that the colors stayed in the correct order and it wouldn't let me.. I had to create a whole new pattern - which took me wayyyyyyyy tooooo long. I know that you cant change the knots in an existing pattern - but is there a way to copy it as a baseline to start a new one instead of creating it from scratch?

No, there isn't a way to easily copy the knotting structure of patterns. This is to prevent people from "stealing" the patterns and posting duplicates or patterns too similar to the original.If you do base a new pattern on another pattern, I recommend mentioning the original pattern in the review notes. This way the moderators can more easily determine if it is different enough or not. |
