base strings too short

so i'm making an alpha and i made triangle ends so now two of my base strings are too small? is there any tutorials on how to replace them? i tried to find some but couldn't find any

I had the same problem! there really isnt much you can do, but if its really bad and you need to add more string,what I do is I just get more string and tie it together with the old base string in the smallest knot posible. |

I've had this problem a few times, what i do is I act like the base string is a leading string. so if it gets too short I simply tuck it away and make my next knot onto the new base string, it's going to be kind of wonky the first few rows but then you can't even tell you replaced the base strinh
