Loop bracelet

Hii, I am trying to make a loop bracelet start for pattern #170545 , I am just a little confused because it has 14 base strings. How do I either start the loop with the leading string or make a loop with a base string without making it 15 base strings? Sorry if this question sounds confusing, I am just sooo confused lol

hi! so when i make my loops, i just tape it near the base strings, so there's a loose thread sticking out of it. to prevent it from unravelling, don't cut it. i like to feed it though one of my knots at the start of my bracelet, and that way you can just cut it. you can also wait to finish your bracelet and then use glue or clear nail polish onto the thread and wait for it to dry and then cut it. hope this helps!
