Hello! I am currently making pattern #26399, and my edge is getting kinda wobbly. Im quite a newbie to tying bracelets but I havent come across this before. You can also see in the pictures that there are more people with the same issue. Any ideas on a fix? I know that for a Greek wave bracelet there is a method to get a straight edge, but Im not sure how to apply it here. Thank you in advance! ❤️

Hi, the problem may be due to the repetition of the FB and BF knots, which, even when executed perfectly, rarely produce neat edges. In this case, you cannot apply the straight-edge technique along the entire length of the bracelet (as the knots on the sides are not always made up of two strands of the same colour). However, you can still make BF knots on the left-hand edge and FB knots on the right-hand edge, where possible (two strands of the same colour).

@lougida Thank you! I have thought about that but wouldnt that make it worse? Because then there are all different knots around the sides. But its worth trying though.

yeah you're right it could happen...that's the problem with that kind of pattern. But maybe segment knotting the pattern could give it a better structure and as a result cleaner edges ? @iris0912

Usually knotting row by row instead of knotting in segments can help with getting patterns like this one to be more straight.

You are indeed not able to apply the straight edges technique, but you could do fb knots on the left edge and bf knots on the right edge to have consistent knots at the edges.
