Hi everyone, I've been doing this for about two weeks and just finished my fourth bracelet, but I'm having issues with tension on my non-dominant side. The right hand side looks very nice and regular (finally), but the left is not coming together very nicely and I'm not sure why. It's not a full-blown disaster but I'd like to get it looking more even. There's also kind of a line down the middle where my right handed and left handed knots meet.Does anyone have any tips on improving this, or is it just going to be a matter of practice? |

I usually make all my knots with my dominant hand while holding the base string tightly with my non dominant hand. Sometimes if you pull up in the direction the knot will be facing helps keep them neat and clean! For example if I am making a forward knot I will tightly hold my base string in place and pull up to the right as I’m making the knot. This helps it’s go into place better than just pulling straight up. I hope this helps!

Thanks Maddy! When you say "pull in the direction the knot will be facing", what exactly do you mean? I suspect I'm usually pulling to the right regardless of the knot direction.

I mean for a forward knot the direction of where the string will be facing is to the right and for a backward knot it will be facing to the left. Pull the string your knotting with up either to the right or the left depending on if it’s a forward or backward knot!
