Hey! I would like to experiment and try out different variations on different patterns.
Sometimes I don't like exactly what I experimented and leave the pattern without submitting its variation.
It's a bit frustrating if I can't try around when I hit the daily limit which is surprisingly quick...
Why is there a limit if I don't submit the variation? 🙁

The limit is on how many times you click "add a variation".

I think it's probably just easier than putting the limit on "submit" for all patterns that are considered variations. You can submit more variations than the limit if you recreate the pattern from scratch instead of using "add a variation".

The reason why the limit is in place is to avoid people from submitting too many variantions at once. In the beginning people often don't understand that patterns and variations need to be reviewed first. Sometimes people will then submit the same pattern or variation multiple times because they think it didn't work.

If you want to avoid hitting the limit, you can use one variation to test out multiple possible colour variations instead of creating a new one for each colour variation.
