Je suis nouvelle sur le site moi je voudrais savoir combien de cm il faut pour faire un bracelet souvent c'est écrit 8×24 mais ça veut dire quoi exactement ?

8x24 are the dimensions of the pattern. The pattern is 8 knots wide and 24 rows long.

A normal pattern with these dimensions would have 16 or 17 strings. The dimensions do not tell you how long the strings need to be. How long the strings need to be depends on the pattern. If all strings are used equally, you need about 90cm per string. If the strings aren't used equally, some strings need to be shorter or longer. An alpha pattern would have 16 base strings. The base strings need to be long enough to last for the amount of rows (in this case 24) plus some extra for ties etc. It's difficult to say how long the leading strings need to be. Most people just leave their leading strings on the skein and cut them in the end.
