What are the unwritten rules of sending friend requests?

I thought about asking this in the community forum, but I thought the newbies forum was more fitting. Is there specific braceletbook etiquette on sending friend requests? Do I send them a message first, should I leave a comment on one of their patterns or add it to my to-dos?

@Flurina there are no rules but you should look in the person bio to see if they don’t want people to friend request them

There is no unwritten rule that I'm aware of. Checking their bio is always helpful to know if they accept friend requests or not. Messaging them is also a good way to get to know them and see if they want to be friends. 😊
