Ending a bracelet

So I've been ending bracelets with twisted ends recently instead of braids, but I haven't worn any with the twisted ends. It seems like on the ones i've given people the twisted ends on thicker bracelets tend to come undone, is that just because there's so many strings or is it because I'm twisting them? And what would you suggest doing? Thank you!

Hi it happens to me to and I don’t really know but I think that if you touch the tie in the end of the twisted ties or if you tie the bracelet to your hand and not make it adjustable and then open it it comes undone but this is a theory so I hope someone will tell me if it’s right

Twisted ties should work well no matter the amount of strings. They shouldn't come undone, if done right.

Make sure that each of the two halves is twisted in the same direction before twisting the together in the opposite direction. The individual halves should be twisted so much that they basically twist together automatically.

You could try putting clear polish on the ends

@halokiwi that is how I do them but I tie the ends, and then those ties come undone. Idk how the twisted part comes untwisted the person wearing it probably untwists it

@Kai_Pai does the knot at the end come undone? If yes, the knot is the issue, not the twisted tie. Are you making a knot? Is it the same knot you make for braids? Are you experiencing the same issue with your braids?

Or are the twisted ties really untwisting? Even if someone would untwist a twisted tie (without undoing the knot), the twisted ties should automatically re-twist. If they don't re-twist, the individual halves are not twisted enough.

@halokiwi the knot at the end comes undone, but it doesn’t for the braids. Also I think maybe the people- if the twisted ties come undone- are fidgeting with the ends or untwisting them. But I’ve noticed the unknotting of the ends only with the twists. I personally have worn a bracelet every day for almost a year and it never unknotted, only frayed

I think the knot might potentially come undone more easily if the strings inside that knot are twisted.
