I tried the braid once, but it was too loose and I couldn’t figure out how to start the knots.

I like teardrop loops with a triangle start, and then triangle ends with twisted ties. Before I learned how to do teardrop loops with odd numbered strings though, I did twisted ties on both ends start and end.

Halokiwi has a tutorial called “How to make triangle ends” which also covers how to make a triangle start. It kinda looks like this: /\ with a teardrop loop at the top where the point is and the wide end is where the bracelet is starting

Personnaly me, I like to keep it simple and just do normal, basic knots) Hope this helps! 🎉

For the loop at the top I just start doing the forward backwards knot method thing (sorry I don’t really know if it has a name!) and then at the end just like @01289 said I do the triangle ends that I learned from mash’s knots. Hope that helps!

just choose a pattern that has an even number of stings, make the strings 2x as long as you need them for ties/the bracelet

then fold them in half and tie a knot

this is the most beginner friendly way

Have you tried twisted ties? That’s basically the same as braids, but I always feel like I’m able to get my twists tighter than my braids!
