Mini Tapestry - edges turning up

Hiya! I just made my first mini tapestry - a 7" Zelda Sword pattern. It came out great, but the edges are turning up. Would it be OK to wet it & then weigh it down to flatten it out? Or is there another technique to fix it? I used the straight edge technique & DMC floss. Thanks in advance for any advice!

I personally would try using a straightening iron (like the one for hair) first, however this method does flatten the actual knots as well, so they will be flattened instead of each having their own tiny bump
