Hi! I started knitting alpha. When I use the patterns, for example, at the top of the page it says 10 for the number of strands, but when I see the pattern diagram there are 9 strands. Can you tell me why? Thanks! (And sorry if my message is wrong, because I use transliteration and I don't know colloquial English)

On alphas, the string count at the top of the page counts the number of base strings, PLUS the leading string. So the actual amount of base strings is one less than what the string count at the top says
