I am doing a pattern (#152796) and it calls for 2 colors, but there is only one strand of one of the colors. I have only seen and done patterns with an even amount of strands for each color so I am able to fold one piece of string in half to make 2 strands and make a loop from there, so I’m not sure how to do this.

there's 5 strings of one color, 1 of the other if I'm right. What you do for that, (I've had this issue before) is you cut single pieces for 1 of the color that needs 5 pieces, and cut a single piece of the single color. Then you cut the 4 pieces of the color that needed 5 like normal. When you fold your pieces over to make a loop, you just put the single pieces with the loop, and just tie it like normal.

TLDR: do it like normal, and for the single strings, cut it. When making the loop, just have the single strings with the normal strings.

You could do ties on both ends instead of a loop on one end. I would even recommend it since the pattern is so thin.

Or you could use this tutorial
