Gaps between knots can happen for a variety of reasons. It could be that your knot tension isn't tight enough, or it could be the thickness of the thread you are using, or it could be that you are developing your knotting technique and skills. ❤️

Usually holes are due to knotting tension issues. I (personally) find it gets worse when I'm knotting quickly while distracted by watching TV at the same time or something. It helps to slow down, focus, and pay attention to the way your knots look/bend so other knots off of them don't end up with holes. Hope this helps!!!

Holes are also more common in the row by row method for normals as compared to segment knotting! If you are currently using the row by row method, you may find it helpful to switch to segment knotting, which may decrease the gaps just because of the way the strings are knotted. I believe Masha Knots has a tutorial on it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cwTBtpF0TcE

when you knot just try to really push the knot up and make sure its really tight if your lines are wonky you can use a ruler to push them into place

Pull the first half of the knot tight. It determines the placement of the knot. Then do the second half but don't let the first half loosen. The second half secures the knot in place.

The first part of the knot determines the placement and the second part secures the knot in that location. It does take practice. I have been making bracelets for 15 years and looking back on old photos, I see improvement ❤️ !

It really depends Alpha or Normal. Let’s say that you are doing a normal bracelet. Make sure your tension is tight on the string you are knotting with along with your other strings.
