what does difficulty mean and why do not all patterns have one?

Only the old patterns had difficulty levels, and they mean how difficult the pattern is, as the difficulty levels for tutorials. Hope that makes sense and helped! 😊 |

Yes, if the pattern had more color changes, strings and/or colors had a higher difficulty level and if the pattern had only a few colors and/or strings had a lower difficulty lever (:

This was a feature that the site used to have. But overall, I think the "difficulty" of a pattern is purely opinionated. This is most likely the reason they got rid of the feature. Either that or it was just too much work to maintain. This is why only a select few (older patterns) have this category on them.
