Reading patterns when there certain strings not used in every row

I'm trying to make pattern 31305 but I don't understand what to do with the strings where there aren't knots. Like the string is just long and knots aren't made on it. I don't know if that makes sense or not, I don't know how to explain it. Sorry! Any help is greatly appreciated.

Actually I think I know what you’re saying. The long strings that show with out knots are just there to tell you it continues to the next row. Masha knots has good videos!

Those strings are just behind the bracelet. When you're not using them you don't need to do anything specific with them. They're just all at the backside of the bracelet. If you need the colour again you start knotting with it again but pay attention to not pull it too tight. I recommend you to watch a video on alphas as you seem to have no experience with them at all. Watching a video helps you visualise.
