my alphas look stretched out

Every time I start an alpha I get so excited but then they start to look longer and stretched out, very annoying, is it my tension or the thread, please help!

This is a common issue. Try making looser knots and using thicker base strings/doubling your base strings.You can also push up each row with a ruler after tying it. |

I started doing them a bit tighter and it is much better!
