Add string of different colour,do u hide string

Hi for patterns that cal for addition of colour such as 22298 and many others. Do you hide the leading string and base string when u change color or u leave them behind the bracelet and pull them forward again when u need them? I am wondering how they look like from behind. Is there any photos i can look at? Thank you.

You put the string behind the bracelet and pull it in front again when you need it. The back of alpha bracelets always looks messy. Unlike normal patterns alpha patterns only look good from one side.
