Masha knots has a really good video in which she explains how to do alphas.For this alpha you need 9 base strings. The base strings are the strings you make the knots on. The base strings can be relatively short. You need four different colours for your leading strings. The leading string is the string that you make the knots with and that determines the colour of the knot. The leading strings are long strings. You only cut them at the very end. In an alpha bracelet you only make forward and backward knots but not in diagonal lines but in horizontal lines. You go from left to right and in the next line you go from right to left. The leading strings you don't use at the moment you keep behind the bracelet. To change the colour you bring one of the strings you have behind the bracelet to the front. But you really should watch a video because it's hard to explain. There's also a tutorial on here that might explain it better than I'm able to. |
