I recently started making alphas and I even created my own patterns but I don’t know how long to make the alpha if I want to wear it as a bracelet?

hi! i usually make an alpha bracelet about 68 rows and then twisted ties on either end. id recommend actually length of base strings to be enough for either side for your ties, maybe like 10cm each and then maybe like 20cm for the actual bracelet depending on how loose or tight your knots are!

just realised it makes no sense what i just said in the middle, basically if you’re talking actual length then id say about 10 cm either side of the bracelet for ties and then about 20 cm for the actual bracelet part depending on your knot type

In order to work out exactly how many rows you need for a certain length bracelet you can take an alpha you have previously made and measure how many rows are in 1 cm/ inch. Then multiply that amount by your desired length which will leave you with the amount of rows you need to make your alpha

5 or more inches is a great starting length!
