curved bracelet

hi i recently learned to make alpha bracelets and im pretty good at it. The only thing is that the bracelet turns out curved. Is there any way i can avoid that? thanks!

i would recomend doing the streight edges techneique. masha knots has a few video tutorials of how to do it.

@cherrxliza There are several reasons for a bracelet to curve. I assume that your bracelets curve in a regular shape (banana like) and all your strings are the same thickness? You could try what happens if you concentrate on making all knots equal (not some tighter and some more loose). If I should take a guess, I'd say that you need to make the forward/backward knots on the outer/longer edge of the banana (if that makes sense ^^) a little tighter.

When you’re knotting your bracelet, make sure that your bracelet is securely taped down or use a clipboard and move the bracelet up as you making more rows. If your alpha isn’t straight while you’re knotting it, it won’t come out perfectly straight

yeah and it helps to cut ur ruler between ur rows to keep them straight
