You click on the person’s profile that you want to friend, and at the top right, there should be an orange button that says add friend

I don't think there's a way to search for people, but you can add an @ in front of their username, and click on it because it makes a link. like @stormii

To search for people on the website, scroll down the the very bottom of any page and click “users”

Oops, sorry, I sent that before I was done! Click “users” and then type their username in to the “username contains” text box, then click “apply filters”. To search for users on the app, go to the side menu, scroll down to “users” and tap it, tap the filter button in the upper right corner, type their username into the “username contains” text box, then tap the filter button again.
