Whenever I take a photo of a bracelet with an aerial view, my shadow gets in it. Taking the photo outside gives me the same issue. Does anyone have any tips on how to take aerial view photos without getting your shadow in it? Thank you!

I would suggest trying not to stand in the way of the source of light because that is what normally causes a problem.

Hi @Jdog12525! I take aerial photos of my bracelets against a background for my bracelets I post here on the site as well! 😊 For this, I study my surroundings before I take a photo of it, and see which way the light is coming from. Try and adjust the angle of your camera when you are ready to take your picture. For example, I take a vertical picture with my phone, and if the light is in the way, I sort of tilt the top of the phone (the camera) upwards, so the shadow is out of the camera view. Or, if the shadow is inevitable in that spot, I would try to move my bracelet and take a photo on a different point on that surface. If you don't mind what the background looks like, try and move your bracelet somewhere else where the light is shining at a different angle, and you don't have a shadow that shines within the view of the camera. If none of this works, I wait until it is a different time of the day (if I have the time) and take a picture then. You could put it under a lamp or light, and adjust it so that your shadow is not showing in the picture. Anyways, I hope you find this useful. Good luck! 😄- @Crafty_K |
