Where Do You Get Your Strings?

I have bought some strings and I’m running out. I’ve seen many photos of people with really aesthetic strings in bracelets and I was wondering where you guys are buying your strings. BTW I live in Canada, so your stores may not be available for me. And I’m willing to shop online and in person.

Usually I just buy huge variety packs off of amazon, I don't have an allegiance to any specific brands. Once all your strings are the same texture though (ie from the same brand), your bracelets will look a lot more composed and neat. Some name brands can get really expensive, so if you're still a beginner it's probably best to just buy a bunch from one place and then hone your knotting skills.

always amazon. it was like a 352 strings or something for 20$ really pretty shades of all different colors and they have some repeating colors which is great if you want to make more of teh same bracelet.

Soledi is a really amazing brand from amazon. They have huge packs with spectacular quality for next to nothing. Their thread doesn’t fray or snap. Totally recommended!

Heyy, so when i get string i order on amazon and ebay they have amazing prices for some big packs or if u have a michels near u but they can get pretty expensive but i think the best way to go is amazon Hope this help!! 😇 ❤️ ❤️

i buy off of amazon, and i would try to keep the same brand so your alphas look more neat. I’m not very good at using the same brand and my bracelets turn out ok, but like someone said name brands can get expensive.

I find amazon Canada to be WAY more expensive than in store, especially DMC. If you want cheap string (for a small bracelet, earrings, or alpa base strings), Walmart sells friendship thread (two strand, breaks easily but is the same thickness as standard embroidery floss) for about $10 for a pack of 150. They also have metallic six-strand floss for I think $3 for a pack of five.

Michaels sells DMC for $0.79 a skein in basic colours, with fancy ones like glow in the dark and neon and metallic for $2.99 a skein (I think). They also sell pearl cotton (basically friendship thread but much better quality) in huge packs for about three dollars in certain colours.

Michaels also sells Loops and Threads in bulk packages for under $10, which is a better deal than DMC for about the same quality. I wouldn’t recommend ordering online as their shipping is a flat rate of $14, but you can do click and collect if the stores in your area are shut down.

Dollarama sells embroidery floss for about three dollars for a package of at least ten skeins, in colour changing and basic colours. The quality isn’t great, but it is six strand and I haven’t had it break mid-bracelet yet.
