It’s a loose term but it basically means most if not all of the knots are fb or bf

There's mainly 3 types of bracelet knotting, segment knotting which is like a candy stripe, you use 1 string and go across, and there's also alpha bracelet, where you have base strings and typically 1 main string. A 1,2 pattern generally consists of fb, bf, f, b knots.

#39896 is an example of a 1212 pattern. It is 100% bf and fb knots. I avoid these patterns like the plague because they are challenging to knot with a good result.

OK so first you need to know how to read patterns Kinseyb has very great videos (check her out) normal patterns only have f and b knots but 1,2,1,2 patterns have both f,b,fb, and bf knots they are much harder to do and memorize them so I don’t nessiceraly recommend them for beginners or intermediate but for advanced 🙁 Burbank if your up for a challenge I would give them a try pls let me know if this helps with the @peanutse thank you and happy knotting
