How do you get nail polish to glue your strings down? Everytime I have tried it hasn't worked. My strings just end up being crusty and sticking out. Should I try different nail polish? I've tried using different brands of string and they still don't stay down. Are there some different mediums that I can use as glue instead?

@madi_522 No problem lol. I was trying to end an alpha keychain by wrapping thread & tying square knots around the base strings and securing the ends (which I cut short) with nail polish. It did not work ://

normally when i use clear nail polish i use it for the ends of ties, and i put a little over the normal amount and wait for it to dry sometimes adding a second coat

when i have a stray string i smooth it down a LOT and hold it for like ten seconds then let it dry
