Whenever I do the straight edges technique on an alpha, the base string you leave gaps showing the base string.
How can I prevent this?

Are the gaps in a certain place like on the edge?

You could maybe try to make your knots tighter. To prevent the base strings from peeping through, you have to make sure that your knots are pushed up against each other in each row, and making tighter knots should help with that. If you do make an alpha with tighter knots though, make sure that you're making all of your knots with the same tension so that the rows still stay straight. Hope this helps! Happy knotting 😄

When I first made alpha's I did this- I would do the forward backward knot (or vica versa) to end the row and then not do it to start the new row. So if you are making the same mistake that i did, once you finish the row, make sure you do it again for the new row. Let me know if this makes sense 😊
