hi!!!why (for example) its said that a pattern has 10 strings but if you count them there is only 9?? |

Hi! This only happens in alpha patterns. Braceletbook counts the number of strings in an alpha as the leading string plus all the base strings. For example, it says pattern #26521 has 12 strings, but when you look at the actual pattern, you'll only count only 11 white base strings. The 12th string is your leading string (the black one that is labeled A on the left side in row 1) Hopefully this made sense! 🙂

Yeah, they include the base string so I count the dimensions or I will actually count it myself

this is because they count the weaving string at the top. to avoid this problem, just be sure to check how many base string are in the actual pattern so u don’t have to start over
