Hi I have found when doing this pattern that the free side bits aren’t long enough to match up with the main bit if you follow the pattern. Is it just me or are people having to do them longer?

That happens with most patterns like this you just have to repeat the same steps till it is long enough

I’ve made 3 bracelets with this pattern and I used the amount of knots that the pattern suggests. Once you start making the chevron part underneath,

I think I usually do 16 knots on the side bits but it can depend on how tight you tie your knots
