String snapping in alphas

I’ve been making a lot of alpha bracelets lately but haven’t been able to finish them because the base strings are snapping. Why is this happening and how can I prevent it?

Mine do when I pull too hard or there’s a knot and I’m trying to untie it It’s rare though and I just start using more thread by adding it in when it does happen

Try to not pull your base strings so tight when tying. If they do snap, you can add the string back in like you would do for color switches. 🙂

i absolutely HATE when that happens!! the best way you can solve that is to reduce your knot tension. in other words just make looser knots. hope your strings stop snapping!! 🎉

everyone said what I was going to say lol but if any of those don't work I would try using a different type of string to see if that helps. Personally, prisim snaps the most for me so I tend to use it less.
