For alphas just make sure you have lots of desk space and try to start with a simple one. I personally think alphas are easier then regular patterns. Also maybe start with a bookmark.

1) start with an alpha pattern that is between 5-12 strings and no more than 3 colors.2) watch YouTube videos on tips for alpha patterns 3) arrows -> are forward knots 4) arrows <- are backward knots 5) knot tightly 6) learn the straight edge technique and ending techniques 7) practice makes perfect |

can someone please tell me how to do the triangle ends of alphas, like where it doesn’t just end straight but it get smaller and it’s like a triangle? sorry if this is confusing

Make sure to start with an easier one....also I have the tendency to run out of string so even if you do run out make sure you know how to add in string...Masha Knots has great tutorials for alphas!

Start with an easier one, but also try not to go to fast, I noticed when I started making alphas I would rush and end up messing it up.

i DEFINITELY reccomend checking out @Masha knots alpha tutorials on youtube!! she has three videos on them i think. two videos on methods for making them and one video on alpha "hacks" 🎉
