Question About Teardrop Loop

Hi Just watched Masha Knots teardrop loop and she says to make the string that you do the knots of the loop with longer. How much longer does that string need to be if the others are two metres?

You should make your strings about 1ft to 2ft longer than the rest.

when imade a loop i leave that color on the bobbin or in a bunch and then once im done with it i measure out the rest of the string i need and then cut it so ik i have the right amount and then dont waste any.

I just usually guess. Maybe 2 in for a small loop and 4 in for big loop

Usually it is just a little bit longer. For me roughly 6 inches, resulting in three inches on both sides works for me. Also, just for reference I make roughly 10-14 knots for the start of loop. If you want it bigger or smaller I would account for that.I really hope this helps and if you need any other suggestions, or help please feel free to message me. I usually leave about 6 inches of string on the end of the string that I am making the knots of the loop with

I add maybe around 6 inches.
