@knotsgurl It's 16 base strings, so you can start with an even loop, or attach them with lark's head knots to a keychain. The 17th string is the leading background color 😊 For patterns that do have an odd number of base strings, you can use the background color for the odd string at the edge, and then the leading string is already attached to start the first row.
