@zhely you need to follow a video tutorial for example the one by MashaKnots. This pattern can't be portrayed accurately as a braceletbook pattern. The pattern here is just so people are able to post photos of it and is not meant as an actual instruction.
@farmingly i would upload the MashaKnots video, but it’s not mine to upload unfortunately. If you search it up on a search engine like Safari/Google (MashaKnots butterfly chain bracelet tutorial or something similar), it should come up!
@mangosiri it does mean that there can only be 1 string for the butterflies, but the colored string acts like a straight edge. The rest of the string is white, each segment has a starting and finishing triangle end. When you end the triangle ends of a segment, make the butterfly how you would for a normal version of this pattern. Then start a new triangle end. Always make the colored string the “edge” string (like the edge string of a bracelet with the straight edge technique.
