@Maddog72 it's an alternative method of doing colour switches. If you search for "flat alpha technique" on YouTube you'll find a really good video by MashaKnots.
@Maddog72 it can happen if you pull the loose leading strings in the back too tight. Doing the flat alpha technique can also help avoid it from happening.
@Maddog72 I also wouldn't do bf or fb knots in the middle of the pattern. I would recommend doing the flat alpha technique and I don't think that's possible when doing bf or fb knot's in the middle of the pattern.
